The Mood Cannabis Company Fall 2023
In a market where every competitor has an effective product, Mood Cannabis Company needed a way to stand out on store shelves and online marketplaces. A perfect problem for our brand identity background. The brand primarily runs two lines: a mainline flower product and a premium market product. The premium product was aimed at a different kind of customer, one that perhaps doesn’t like the association with 420 culture and 420 art specifically. As a result, we’ve created two separate assets and visual approaches that tie in to the same brand identity through similar visual messages with a distinctly different typographic approach. This way, the brand can build cachet through it’s high quality product offerings and still capture the overlap in the market. The premium customers never need to know about the combustable offerings and vice-versa, while the truly open-minded can enjoy both. Packaging-wise, simplicity was key here; namedrop the brand and quickly explain the product along with it’s usage and expected effects.
